What Makes GNO Different

Guesswork isn't intelligence.

Most trial campaigns tell a brand what it wants to hear. GNO Insights is built to tell you what's actually happening at the bar.

1

Zero Brand Bias

Feedback is captured with no brand presence at the point of consumption — customers respond to the product, not a promotion.

2

Verified, Not Modelled

Every figure in our reports ties back to a real, timestamped redemption on the platform. No projections, no assumptions.

3

Real Working Pubs

Campaigns run through an independent network of trading pubs — real bar staff, real footfall, real purchasing decisions.

4

A Protected Network

Venues are anonymised in every report. It's what keeps our pub partners engaged and honest, campaign after campaign.

5

Nothing Hidden, Nothing Spun

Bar staff have an honest word with customers when there's a natural moment — never at the cost of them doing their job. Around half of all redemptions become a comment, correlated into the patterns that matter, so you see what people actually thought — not a polished highlight reel.

The Method

How we put your product in a customer's hand

Every campaign runs on the Gr8NiteOut platform, targeting real customers who are already out in a participating pub — not a lab, not a focus group.

1

Checked in, and visible

Customers check in at one of our participating pubs on the Gr8NiteOut app to let friends and family around the world see where they are. That check-in is also what makes them eligible for a credit — real people, not recruited for a taste test.

2

A credit, bought on your behalf

GNO Insights buys a credit for your product and sends it their way. It's valid for 30 days, so there's no need for them to still be in the pub when it's bought — they redeem it whenever suits. Every credit carries a personal touch: a message, a photo, or the chance to add a 20-second promotional video introducing the product.

3

Redeemed and enjoyed, no pressure

They redeem it at the bar and enjoy it in their own time, with their own friends around the table. No sampling stand, no rep hovering nearby, no sense of being watched — just your product, poured and enjoyed the normal way.

4

An honest word, when there's a moment

The bar person is very often someone the customer already knows. When they get a natural moment — never forced, never at the cost of doing their actual job — they'll ask in passing what the customer thought, and if they didn't enjoy it, why not. It's a chat, not a survey, and it's why we expect around half of all redemptions to turn into a comment we can use: 80 credits redeemed, roughly 40 honest reactions logged.

5

Collated, then reported honestly

Those comments — around half of all redemptions — are correlated into clear themes and a representative spread of quotes, positive and negative, and reported back to you. Nothing is filtered out for being negative, and nothing is dressed up to look better than it was.

The Feedback Loop

What we bring back — from everyone who matters

A launch decision needs more than one point of view. GNO Insights captures all three sides of the bar. (Figures below are illustrative, taken from our sample report — see it in full further down the page.)

Erris Lager — Introductory On-Trade Campaign

"Born on the Wild Atlantic. Brewed for the Bold." Erris Lager is a fictional brand, created purely to show you exactly what a real GNO Insights report looks like — the structure, the depth, and the level of honest detail you'd receive for your own product.

Campaign: 3–28 March 2026
Region: Greater London & Home Counties
Venues: 20 pubs
Platform: Gr8NiteOut
The Cliffs of Moher, County Clare — on the Wild Atlantic Way, the coastline that inspired Erris Lager's fictional brand story.
Please note — Erris Lager is a fictional brand. No such campaign has taken place; this is a worked example, built to demonstrate exactly how a GNO Insights report reads — the redemption data, the themes and comments gathered from customers and staff, and the pub owners' stocking decisions. On a real campaign, staff have a natural word with customers without it ever getting in the way of their job, so we plan around roughly half of all redemptions turning into a comment. Those are correlated into clear themes with a representative spread of quotes — that's how we keep a report readable even across thousands of redemptions. Nothing is filtered out for being negative, and nothing is dressed up to look better than it was. That's the standard every campaign is held to.

"The results for Erris Lager were genuinely impressive. Across 20 venues in Greater London, 84% of consumers who tried the product said they would buy it again, and 70% of pub operators indicated they would consider stocking it going forward. The response from the trade was consistently positive, with the product's Irish provenance and clean, sessionable character coming through strongly in consumer feedback."
